A big part of their economy runs on trade with Bangladesh. Bangladeshi tourists and medical tourists make up a lion's share of Indian's tourists. Yet look at the attitude of these ingrates.

After we in Bangladesh signed a loan agreement with China before covid, Indian govt. begged us to accept their meagre one or two billion dollar loan pkg., so their contractors could get some infra work in Bangladesh (which they can't get anywhere else), but no one in Bangladesh likes Sanghi contractors because they are mostly frauds and cheats. Ask any businessperson in Bangladesh, you'll get the same answer.

Great suggestion, Bangladesh is already lobbying with Malaysia to get maybe observer status in ASEAN. Our economy should be joined with ASEAN (and have FTA with all the countries in it). We have preferential tariff agreement with Indonesia I believe and of course China, this needs to be expanded with the other ASEAN members and East Asian countries.

Indians already know they have no friends left in the neighborhood - Thanks to Modi Magic. Even Maldives rejected Indian machinations, ditto with Nepal and Sri Lanka.
