Underlined: What's the worst that can happen if IK comes into power? The worst I honestly can think of is selling Kashmir for a few $$; honestly, that's the only thing Zardari/Gillani still haven't done..

so what if it is? one should support the right cause -your principles determine what is right; just because someone else also says does not make is wrong just as just because someone else opposes it does not make it right. the thing of importance is the issue - if the position on the issue is right, one supports it and if it is wrong one opposes it. it follows that you support the man or group when he is right and oppose him when he is wrong - blanket support or opposition is not right....

if the army supports right - support them - when they are wrong oppose them ---simple!

Our people are a Huge bunch of Ignorants and stupids..Karachi simply Worships Altaf Hussain and not reaching any agreement with him means whole of Karachi is against him...
So tactical adjustments have to be made..
If our people were any good at choosing the right person,our country would have been in a better position...
But they may well vote for zardari in candle light while they had no electricity for the last two days...

The trouble is that 60% or 70% of our people are village dwellers who dont have any political views..They can only support their clan,tribe or Local hero at the best..
No matter for whom the rest of the 40% more thoughtful Literate people vote for the Majority will rule and the majority are sock muppets. They will send their Khan<malik<chaudhry...to the Assemlies..No matter which party he/she supports..and these local peers can be bought of..Specially when Zardari has all the wealth in the world.

So if IK is making adjustments its not because he is an idiot...its because of the specific needs of Pakistani politics.

what he does in his personal life with his own private time,and his private money is none of our concern..If he chooses to visit whatever country and tan,so be it.

About coming to streets...If the conditions in Pakistan were in any other country of the world people had come to the streets long ago....But in Pakistan why they are not coming to streets? because there is no leader whom they can trust.
IK's support is snowballing and who knows..a street revolution may well start under his leadership.

all blame rests on the politicos - when their intentions were dishonest - i.e. when they appointed people out of turn with the expectation that the guy would permit them to rob left and right, if not actually support them - they got what they deserved - a coup - this is true for ALL the martial laws Ayub was introduced by his "benefactor' to politics - his military record is strongly suspect; yahya much the same; zia was promoted out of turn superseding 6 (or was it 7) seniors all becuase Mr B thought he would be servile and finally Mr S chose Mushy boy because of same expectations -in fact I think I read somewhere that he mentioned in his ghostwritten 'book" that when he looked at his service file he was surprised that he got the job!

in british tradition the top post is given to one of three senior most generals. india has followed this pretty much and except for the Gen Kaul episode, they have been ok.

even in pakistan, when they followed this rule (incidentally this happened when the politicos were at loggerheads with each other!), the things were ok - witness - Gens Kakar, Karamat etc.

so one needs to be honest about things. yes the coup generals did wrong but they were given this opportunity by the politicos - why blame them (the generals)? why should you expect them to be saints when the ones appointing them are devils who appointed them in the first place BECAUSE they hoped that they (the generals) would be dishonest i.e. would permit the politiocs to continue their shenanigans...
