Is possible army rule good or bad for Bangladesh?

This thread is to discuss about pros and cons of possible army rule. How it will effect the economy, politics? Is there going to be any minus two formula or army will hand over power to democratic government peacefully? As the situation progressing the possibility army rule can't be ruled out. Lets the speculation began .

A free market economy will always be superior to that under a dictatorship. Even under a benevolent dictator.

Also, Western countries do not like army rule. So imposed sanctions isn't exactly in Bangladesh's interests. And there'd go UN peacekeeping missions too!

A temporary army-backed caretaker government would be necessary in Bangladesh's case. A 'minus two' formula is possible, but it requires good planning.

They screwed up last time.

popularity of zia ur rahman is still unmatched. after 6 years of rule, when he died , only a t-shirt and a briefcase was found as his only possession. it is said his Janaza was the second largest in Muslim world . his party bnp was elected again by people after his death. then ershad became dictator through a coup. when he left, zia's party came to power again just because zia's popularity.

sheikh mujib as a dictator was very unpopular due to corruption and nepotism. he also had a private terrorist force . so his dictatorship was very short and unpopular.

ershad lost his popularity at the end of his rule.but somehow every bangladeshi thinks his dictatorship was better than present democracy, kinda like his friend saddam hussain. people miss saddam's dictatorship in iraq now.

Our begums consider thair blind supporters as bangladeshi not general public like us. And this is bangladeshi democracy.
