They made a very good connection for their theory.

UK operated M-109s till around 1994. Some were sold to other countries. The variants were A1, A2 and A3, with the A2 being the most common. UK bought M109s from Belgium. UK then donated 20 x M-109s to Ukraine while Norway donated 22 x M-109s and Latvia donated 6 x M-109A5. Pakistan operates A2 and A5 variants, and ammunition is made for SP and towed 155mm guns in POF.

USA sent more than 100 M-777 towed 155mm howitzers to Ukraine with 0.4 million rounds of ammunition. Other NATO nations sent weapons systems with ammunition also.

So now the argument stands that while M-109 variants are still in service with many NATO nations and UK bought M109s but got ammo for these from Pakistan which was transferred to Romania. While the rest of the world provides weapon system along with ammunition, UK had to depend upon Pakistan to provide ammunition for these howitzers from Wah Cantt.
Probably Norway and Latvia also didnt have any ammunition stored to provide with their donations of M-109s. Or maybe Pakistan makes a magical explosive round for M-109s.

I hope Ukrainians dont start using M-777 ammunition in M-109s lest the M185 or M284 barrel explodes while firing those round.
