That mood is focused within the white working class and certain hispanics. Essentially the Whites represent the xenophobia of America and it keeps switching from one demon to another. Has to do with long standing insecurities that represent the community.

This is so ironic considering that the AFL-CIO was built on the support of this group, and in order to defend and protect this group's class interest. This was earlier an integral part of the Democratic constituency; the Republicans have successfully swept clean its leadership and converted it into its helots.

The republicans are no longer Lincolns or even Reagan's party. Chomsky was right to characterise them as an Insurgency; and much like the Mujhaideen after the Soviet war, the Trumpliban have swept them all aside.

There are always "deplorables" in every country. Pakistan has them, India has them; but the deplorables are a minority much as the other sides are. It is the ignored silence that creates true change; doesn't matter if it positive or negative.
