According to Journalist Nusrat javed PM Nawaz Shahrief and COAS decided to cleanup the North Waziristan. In his argument he links Nawaz staement in USA that we have to cleanup our home first and COAS backgrround and his first desion to appoint
Nadeem Ahmad as a Chief of the General Staff (CGS) who commanded a strike infantry division and led successful military operation in Swat.

It will be a successful operation, we will face reaction, but we can sustain that, I believe. but it might not solve the problem in longer run as the whole course of events would leave a bad taste on the memories of the whole tribal community. #IDPs

i will prefer a military operation again JI and JUI and ANP first ... even if they start operation in NW mostly terrorist will run to afghanistan and where they will be welcomed by US and NATO as usual , and few runs towards cities where they will be welcomed by our religious parties ... no use until we band all religious parties

It is quit much possible ...... if you connect the different dot (stories) appeared in media in past few days/months it look like this option is very much on the table ...... like target killing of Naseeruddin Haqqani in Islamabad ..... before that there were some reports which indicated 'some elements' of Afghan Taliban supported Fazalullah to get elected as chief of TTP ..... then from recent few weeks there is an unconfirmed report in circulations about Fazalullah that he has returned back to Miranshah in North Waziristan.

Second thing to be noted here is the recent change of command in PA all important and top three appointments i.e. COAS, CJCSC & CGS is related to Sawat operations or TTP in one way or other......

I am sure it will not happen because in NWA there are Pakistan loving Mujhaids. Gen. Hameed Gul said it will be a big mistake if any operation is carried out in NWA, so it will not happen & Pakistan don't want to lose the trust of these people whome US & India openly call terrorists.

People like Nusrat Javed, Hamid MIr, Kamran Khan & so on are Anti Pakistanis & they only promote anti Pakistani material.

There is no need to post such people articles as they only promote propaganda, you can only read to know your enemy but don't believe in it.

Once Pakistani army realizes that Americans are in Afghanistan for the long haul

They will cleanup NW, because Haqqani types will be rendered useless.

Dollar or no dollar,

Americans will be a big stabilizing force in the region.

This is my guess

and I could be wrong.


But military and political history does point towards more stability in the coming years.
