It has its pros and cons.

Multiculturalism was also a factor in the destruction of many empires like the Romans and the Ottomans.

But it also increases racial or ethnic group tensions.

It depends to be honest. Multiculturalism mainly works in former colonies like Australia, Singapore, Canada and the USA.

But countries that have established nations and countries especially in Europe and Asia multiculturalism is seen as a problem. No matter how much an Arab speaks and acts like a German he or she will never be accepted as a German because you have to be German by blood and culture.
