Is Modi's India flirting with fascism?

. . . .
all politics aside I love seeing desi ''leaders'' getting ripped apart and put to shame by an educated and informed youth on live TV, just shows how ignorants the leaders of the subcontinent are, this was truly a treat to watch....

No Nitasha kaul was fantastic speaker and difference between jahil confuse nationalist and sane educated voices was obvious :D
not only his arguments were weak but he was looking confuse and nervous but we cannot blame him because ideology of hinduvata and RSS is like that so this Hindu nationalism is same as Indian nationalism and how non Hindus fits in there, Hindu nation vs secular nation and concept of Akhand bharat by RSS and stupid statement of RSS leaders were source of all his embarrassment as he was struggling to defend their ideologies

He did seem confuse even on kashmir issue unlike hina rabbani who suggested that Pakistan is happy with any of three choices of Kashmiri People..i,e join India, join Pakistan or get independent country

He was not the best fit to go on this program, subramanian swamyji hote toh medhi hasan ke kache phaad dete.

Nitasha Kaul is yet another mediocre intellect living off saudi money,so it doesnt matter.

If Mehdi hasan has balls,he should do it with a proper dude like SS.

Moreover Ram Madhav doesnt have good english speaking skills, even i could have done a much better job.

Is Modi's India flirting with fascism?

Ram Madhav, National General Secretary of India's ruling Bharatiya Janata Party, on Hindu nationalism.

In this episode of Head to Head, Mehdi Hasan challenges Ram Madhav, National General Secretary of India's ruling BJP and former spokesman of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), the right-wing Hindu nationalist organisation and ideological wing of the BJP.

Last year, the election of Prime Minister Narendra Modi signalled a new era in India politics: promises of extraordinary transformation and economic development, but also a turn to right-wing Hindu nationalism, which has been accused of anti-Muslim, anti-minority rhetoric.

We explore whether Hindu nationalism is inherently exclusionary and if it is compatible with secularism and democracy, and probe violence against minorities. We also discuss human rights abuses in Indian-administered Kashmir, and how to bring peace to the region.
