I think we need to be careful here. Even if invasion of Afghan terrain has occured we should utilize this opportunity to mine and fence the relevant strip while in control of the next hilly point. This might be considered legitimate and protective.
Anything more and we are being asked to do what USSR and USA has not managed to do and neither will we. We have meagre resources and the curse of terrorism can be sorted by a controlled border. The rest is a US affair and let them deal with it.

This is a strange piece of news. And may be temporary incursion .if it is 30 km inward movement, that is a big thing and I hope this move is in coordination with allied forces. Also, I hope afghan taliban should also be on our page. If it is done without it, then I can hope Russians and Chinese know it and have given green signal. If not, then I hope our forces have moved in temporarily to dismantle ttp and ISIS infrastructure and will come back. Otherwise, we will open a front not required and give Americans a chance to use afghans to attack us with full military support of Americans

A new front is/was about to be opened through Afghanistan. Daesh and ISIS are in Afghanistan, and the hammering began with artillery and mortar shelling. Artillery was also used to pin down movement along Afghan border to continue work on durand line, the building of the wall and the ditch. Still the Afghanis managed to hit a major who embraced martyrdom.

The places where leaders were hidden was out of reach of conventional artillery. The first hit hammer on the nail has been struck. This was necessary to tell everyone that PA :

1. Knows a new front can be opened
2. will defend Pakistan beyond its borders also
3. is capable of striking enemy who is about to launch attack on Pakistan.

Pakistan Army has fought with TTP and has weakened and damaged TTP to such an extent which is proved now through the declining stats of terrorism attacks inside Pakistan. The new adversaries have been brought in now:
Daesh and ISIS.

No dispute and fully understand the logic of going in. The point I make is the charas and Ganga fuelled dreams of full blown incursion into Afghanistan are what they are--- small tactical operations to destroy a specific target.
