Is ISPR being expanded to core level ?

I have read few reports on social media that ISPR is being expanded to the level of core. Also Major General Asim Bajwa will soon be promoted to Lt General and he would be first three star to head ISPR. Any information guys ?

Even a Major General heading Army relations department of Armed Forces doesn't make much sense

Having a three star general at the helm doesn't make an institution a corp. Formation does and with no fighting force, the ISPR does not meet the pre-reqs for being a corp.

First of all it is not Core it is Corp.

why would we need a corp of (glorified) journalists?? ISPR's current strength is baffling as it is.

ISPR definitely needs massive Media upgradation and new civilian professionals in the field to project image of Pakistan all three military services image across the world.

Maj General Asim bajwa has already been crossed as he was not promoted in last promotion board, so this is bogus idea and news. tc
