Is India actually this dirty?

As you all may know I am planning on travelling maybe next year, and India is always been on my bucket list along with Pakistan and China. But this thread is about India and some of the videos I have seen show India to be a filthy country. Now I want to know if India is actually this filty? Anyone been to India are any Indians who can tell me the truth?

I've been to Dehli; you can basically describe it as some green patches(Delhi Gate, ect...) surrounded by filth(Rest of Delhi). All of India is basically like that (with some exceptions) . If you are going to visit; dont eat the local food; i learnt that the hard way and the only good place to visit is the far north india (Mostly Kashmir).

No they just made this video to scare people like you from going to India.

It's a very nice, clean country! Don't miss out on the street food and the tap water!

You shouldnt drink tap water anywhere in South Asia, they have public filtered water though.

hygiene issue is there... even in Pakistan.. see Ayesha mumtaz raids about food resturants.. However, india's slumps have numerous bacteria cultures, very strong, which are unfamiliar/extnct in EU or developed countries.. like diarrhea, typhoid, TB etc...so careful...

Well I can only tell you about the time I went officially. It was nice clean, wide roads, very civilized and helpful people, very clean public toilets, no defecating in the public (like you hear in the media). Street food was awesome, specially "pani puri," . even the tap water smelled like it was perfumed.

Don't listen to the haters, go check it out yourself!

Vacation, Sure, with all those diseases, you'll never have to work in your life, if you'll have any left i.e. Just kidding, yes you can get Vaccination
