What's new

Is Bangladesh blocking all Indian media channels? Here's the truth

Well it's not blocking , it's just banning of illegal busines. If you want to do business pay taxes , it's as simple as that!

Bangladesh is no longer father's property of anyone, so if u want to do business you just pay tax!

Thanks a lot to current establishment ( be it BAL or the deep state who's front face is BAL ) lead us to real freedom/independence after 50 years!

@mmr and other BNP fellas you will understand more than who is real Indian stooge , BAL or anti BAL establishment!

Bangladeshi TV contents are so poor. What will people see now? Youtube.

Pakistani TV serials are so good compared to Indian serials but Pakistani channels are not shown here and people don't understand Urdu as much as they understand Hindi as Hindi is closer to Bangla language. That's why Pakistani TV channels are not popular at all. So what is left ? Shitty Bangladeshi news channels.

Well Boo-frickin'-hoo for Dadas and Indian saas-bahu 'sindoor' media.

No one is shedding any tears in Bangladesh.

Go Walaikum-Tafat and eff-off. People will find things to watch on the Internet I guess.

No jackpots available in Bangladesh anymore, nothing to see here, move along...

Too bad - so sad....

Some are shedding tears brother. Look at comment #62 . We have this kind too who are lapdog of India and they are shedding more tear than their master India.

But yes no common people are shedding tears , even not strong BAL supporters who are actually embarrassed because of Indian stooge reputation of BAL!

Tomar kotha shuina ( after hearing from you) baykuşlar bile guler , even owls will laugh , let alone crows ( kargalar)! Tomar baper desh ( Father's land ) India r serial gula khub valo? Ze serial gulay porokiya prem ar family politics shikhano hoy?

Bangladeshi TV content so poor compared to Indian content is for one reason.

Indian channels were taking our money (ad-spend by Bangladeshi businesses) and using those to improve their content.

Now that Indian channels are essentially banned - Bangladeshi content will automatically get better (more money available from local advertising paid by Bangladeshi businesses)

Soft-Warning
Whereas BTV charges per minute up to Tk90,000 during peak times and Tk45,000 during off-peak times, some private channels sell per minute airtime to advertisers for a few thousand taka to merely Taka15,000 during their peak times.

Less revenue per minute means they allocate more minutes per programme to cover up their programme cost.

Then again, advertisers are not very interested in their channels. Why should they be? These channels do not invest properly in making content that people would watch.
In contrast, Indian channels invest professionally to make whatever the content they are making.

The BTV still spends around four-five lakh taka to make a 50-minute TV drama; whereas, the best private channels do not want to spend more than two lakh taka for the same drama. For a 20-25 minute drama, some channels offer producers/directors 60k-70k; some 40k, and some even do not bother paying for the content. This is the reality. Who would want to take a loss making good programmes for TV?

As a result, good writers and directors have moved away from making creative content.
The local channels will die without whatever advertisement revenue they are getting. But are most of them really viable as commercial entities? No. Most of them lack creativity or vision. They do not invest in anything and they just follow a 'copy and paste' formula as their business model.
Remember that the government had banned the screening of foreign movies after liberation to help the local movie industry thrive? Did the decision help our industry produce people like Fellini or Ridley Scott? Sorry, it did not. Today the Bangladeshi movie industry is on its deathbed.

Well like i read before, it's happening. That was fast though. Clearly indicates how much TRP they get from BD. Let's see after few years what the delusional Bihari idiot say and our channels do to improve their contents after getting all the revenues and how much viewers they can attract with those content.

When the least viewed BTV spend more money than these private channel Bihari idiot thinks they will really improve it after a ban. Tell those Ramchagols with no creativity to stop copying Indian program first like "Rapid Fire" round from Coffee with Karan.

Y'all know Hindi/urdu?

Very few understand Hindi. None of us speak in it cause there's no need to. Learning to say few words and sentences is entirely different from being fluent in Hindi. New generations are more into pop culture like online gaming, K-pop and anime.

I watched the above 2 natok at YouTube though some serials were missing. But those were good to watch. Hardly such good quality natoks are produced at the moment.

Ramchagols only produce cringey love stories and often lack even a script. Other countries adapt stories from books, make live action, reboot but we did only few even though there are tons of good books from good writers. Anyway you can watch Aj Robibar and Hat Kata Robin if you haven't watched them yet.
