I don’t know a lot about Andrew Cuomo. I caught one of his press conference is and admittedly was impressed with the way he handled himself.


Trump on the other hand I think is the most part is a complete buffoon. Tried to give him a chance early on, but he lost me.

I know Trump needs to look out for the economy but why can he not work with the Governors to slowly and safely ease restrictions rather than go in for this confrontational approach?
No Governor actually wants to keep their state in lockdown any longer than necessary and he just needs to understand that.

New York has a population of less than 20 million with nearly 19,000 dead as of today, and that unfortunately rose by over 600 in the last day. I am not surprised why Cuomo is loath to hear any talk of being told to loosen any restrictions till he thinks it is safe to do so.

Listening to Trump makes us in the UK see our clownish Prime Minister Boris Johnson come across as a very mature and responsible leader.
His indirect support of those people protesting against the lockdowns and also not practicing 'social distancing" at the same time was low even by his standards.

Through monumental efforts, it looks like the USA has got the virus under some kind of control now but it needs to be very careful with easing restrictions as one wrong move could cause thousands of people to unnecessarily die.

The US is quite a bit away from crumbling, disintegrating into civil war, etc. etc. There are many out there that would be happy to see that happen. Sorry to disappoint those folks. Yes, these are rough times, but we will get through this and be more experienced going forward.
Here in Texas, I see no signs of lawlessness, or anarchy. Life goes on - perhaps a little slower, but it goes on. Schools have been shut till the end of the school year, but both my grand kids are doing on line classes ( including the 5 year old). Both the kids are working from home, like I do. The panic is in fact easing, and Texas may be opening up in a measured way starting next week. Everyone is itching to get back to work.
