Is Air Defence career in PAF good?

before you join AD Branch as ADWC, you need to join Pakistan Air Force.

Bro, I think if you get a chance go for it. Its a good job. AD is the eyes of Fighter Pilots. So you can be playing an active role in combat as well.

I think its good to have AD on your uniform

well i wont advise u to join air defence of pakistan ...i will suggest that if u are goo din studies u should try ur luck else where but if u think u have inclination towards forces join ARMY instaed of air defence of PAF .. but u can join the GDP branch if u like to have my opinion

well bro...i am doing telecom engineering 3rd year...i am a bit confused...bcz my eyesight is weak its -1.7 so i dnt think PAF will allow for GDP..but i heard from some one in PAF that for AD its allowed..and i am crazy to Join PAF...

And introduce yourself in introduction section.

My father was in the Air Defense branch. He served as OC 486 Squadron 1987-1988, CRC based at PAF Chaklala since November 1985 this Squadron has been exclusive assigned to the task of defending Pakistan’s nuclear installations. Served Sector Commander Southern Air Command and Northern Air Command. Served instructor Dundridge College UK teaching foreign officers of AD branches. Only active alert brains can take to this branch.

GDP Might not be possible for u than. But since you are doing Engineering you should try to become a part of PAF or Army through SSC.

Indeed, AD is the most important branch. Like I said, it serves as a eye for GDPs. Without AD it would have been blind fight by the pilots.

well, its better if you continue with your study, AD is a really tough job, you spend most of your time in jungles, and stuff away from civilization. I have seen and met with AD people in multan air base and they are losing it.

Here's a suggestion go for GDP andwhen you go through your inital medical test wear contacts(thats what i did and make sure they are really thin) they didn't realize it and gave me 6/6 on vision. If you pass all the initial test and the ISSB, you will have to do a bigger medical test and you can't cheat in it. If they say your eye sight is too weak they will offer you to join AD or another branch.

If you don't pass ISSB or Inital tests, this way you won't regret it later, for not trying.

In current advertisment??? Maybe, but I was talking generally. They do recruuit other Engineers too. And he still have a lot of time to complete his engineering. By that time, I'm sure he'll get a chance.

bro they also take engineers from other discipline electrical civil.etc...bcz i saw two times advertisment of PAF for engineers induction..

hmmmm bro but i have 2 chances of issb ..bcz i already lost one chance in 2007 for pma..now i want to try my 2nd chance for AD/GDP...i think if i apply for GDP ..they will catch my eyesight...

like i said, if they catch ur eye sight they will only catch it after u pass ur issb, n they will let u join AD branch.
