Is a U.S.-China Space Race Good for Humanity?

Nov.05 -- The second Golden Age of space is upon us. Dozens of nations are looking to the stars but China is gaining ground on what had been U.S. preeminence.

The idea that China and U.S. are engaging in some kind of space race is invented by space advocates to get more funding. China is not racing against anyone.

This is a western report, China actually has her own schedule and never do things in a rush. What US and Soviet Union achieved during the cold war was the result of mad dog competition having all available funds and resources thrown into them. That's not what China is doing now. Besides, what you can do in the past doesn't mean you can still do them today.
