@jamahir I believe once you had spoken about a clockless processor ? Does It exist ? Can it be created?

Elaborate a bit

A processor that processes infinitely? WOT

@sovcomflot

i have been designing one since 2008... other groups including arm company and intel started on this long back.

i am sleepy, that is why i saw your post some minutes after you posted... allow me to discuss this tomorrow... i created a "computing and related technologies" thread... i will tag you there tomorrow.

what does overclocking mean to a clock-less processor ?

isn't a human brain like a CPU without a clock???

what about quantum computing???

Clockless processors do exist, as seen here

A clockless process is also known as an "Asynchronous CPU"

Damn!

You're slower than NAL. :lol:

Quantum computing can be both clocked and clock less. Clock less is just a handshake mechanism where the process completes the circle, rather than a clock.

Clockless computer :o:

Are you moving from digital circuits to analogue circuits?

I think clockless is an euphesim, there has to be sequencing which iherently is related to waiting, hence related to time.

Basically, the pipeline controller clocks the next stage of logic when the existing stage is complete. In this way, a central clock is unnecessary

However, no central clock is an accurate description, instead of saying clockless.
