IRIAF Fighter Jet Crashes Two Pilots Martyred

Yes of course that’s how they are still flying, all parts are built inside the Iran, with a VERY small amount acquired on black market. US destroyed and shredded spare parts for F-14 and other Us aircraft not in service anymore so it wouldn’t reach Iran thru black market.

They can maintain and build spare parts F-14 engines and F-4 engines. They cannot rebuild those engines tho. They can rejuvenate the airframes to a certain extent. Iran can probably keep Tomcats flying for another 15 years or so till 2035-2040

F-4 and F-5 (non Kowsar standard) will have to be retired in the coming decade most likely or cannablize some to keep others air worthy. So sooner or later Iran will have to address its airforce.

Even US is still flying 30-40 year old F-18’s And they have a military budget of 700B.

So old fighter jets are in use even in Western armies with England probably have the worst age out of US, France, England.
France has older aircraft flying than the Brits. In Britain the fighter fleet only consists of the Typhoon and F-35. All older types have long been retired (Tornado, Harrier, Jaguar all long gone). The French only have older Mirage 2000C/D and 2000-5, and the modern Rafale.
US is the worst if it comes to age, of the countries you mention. But the numbers they have are huge, so it’s impossible to replace them all.
