Well F14s and F4s and F5s and C130sAre any of the American aircraft with Iran still air worthy?
Flying as much as they're supposed to?Well F14s and F4s and F5s and C130s
And P3s and Boeing 707s and 747s are pretty much still flying
Flying as much as they're supposed to?
Is Iran able to produce any of the parts for the US planes in-house?No, that would lead to further stress on the airframe and fatigue cracks to appear.
As for planes falling out of the air, I have to say Iran has a VERY good record compared to Russia/Europe/US when taken into account our planes are 30+ years old and theirs are mostly new.
Fighter jet crashes happen in every country, US lost a F-35 this month.
But to answer your question, no Iran doesn’t fully use the planes in order to save the airframes for wartime and extend their life.
Yes, they are keeping old US built aircraft flying by reverse engineering. Just take parts out and copy them. And they also convert some old F-5 aircraft into the “new” HESA Saeqeh, which looks like an F-5 with an F/A-18 tail.Is Iran able to produce any of the parts for the US planes in-house?
