Iraqi Forces enter Faloujah

. . . .
Well after two years Baghdad managed to capture a city that its 50 km away from the capital. Still Baghdad doesnt control half of the country. Iraq is in tatters

. .
Let's be fair to Iraqi forces, it's been only three weeks since the operations began. Even for Turkey it took 100 days to clean a town of 110k people from PKK terrorists.

but we did not use havy atelery, rockets or planes bombing cities.. open your eyes and think before you post..

we could clean our citys in some days.. this would mean.. no city and no ppl would be left

ask yourself did we use any short-range MLRS?

.
we did used some light artillery though. Well still though only 3 weeks is unfair to expect any conclusions despite this Fallujah operation escalated quickly :)

.
i am sorry to haveinsulted your brothers.. I did not know that you are unable to see the difference

.
yeah I can definitely see the difference. I think Iraqi army too could accelerate the process with bomb the shit out of them from sky.
Anyway congrats for Iraq, it took earlier than expected.

You're not taking everything in consideration when you make this comparison. You only took a few equipment platforms as an example and what you mentioned wasn't right either, they aren't flattening the city. If they did they could easily flatten the center with the TOS-1, Su-25's etc, the coalition could do it as well.

For the sake of simplicity, make the comparison using the 2nd battle of Fallujah (2004) and the third battle of Fallujah (2016).

Info is from wikipedia.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Second_Battle_of_Fallujah
Duration: 6 weeks
Coalition forces: ~12.000
Iraqi Forces: ~2000

Enemy forces in the city: ~4000

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Third_Battle_of_Fallujah
Duration: Almost 4 weeks, most of the city cleared.
Iraqi forces: ~12.000 of which a smaller number are actually leading the assault into the city, a number also responsible for Karma etc.

Enemy forces in the city: The official number is unknown, media reports have said 1000. However the media also said there were 50K kids being held in the city whilst later-on they changed the number to 90K. Over 500 IS terrorists fled the city and were captured, using logic that IS grew significantly since 2004 and that Fallujah is an IS stronghold it's not far fetched to assume that the number of enemy forces was far higher in the third battle as compared to the 2nd battle.

The Iraqi forces have to do with far less equipment than the US, not as much artillery, not many Abrams tanks, less direct communication with the attack aircraft in the air. They are also fighting a stronger enemy with better weaponry, anti tank guided missiles, armored truck bombs etc.

ISOF has been leading the assault, a force the US set up and trained over the years. They've proven themselves at several places, they liberated Mosul dam, they defended Baiji chemical complex for over a year whilst being besieged, liberated Ramadi, Fallujah now, Karma etc. That is the infantry side.

As for other units take the 9th armored division with Abrams tanks. Compared to 2014 and 2015 they are a lot more effective and battle hardened. Video's show how well they're putting the tanks to use and there not many losses anymore, US commanders confirm that.

A single Iraqi M1 Abrams tank has been reportedly devastating Islamic State positions within the city of Hit in western Iraq's Anbar province, earning the nickname "The Beast" on social media and among U.S. and coalition advisers.

"Frankly, [the M1] has been handing it to the enemy regularly now for several days," Col. Steve Warren, spokesman for Operation Inherent Resolve, the U.S.-led mission to drive Islamic State out of Iraq and Syria, told reporters. Warren was responding to criticisms about Iraqi forces being "slow in the pace of their operations" and not being aggressive enough.

But of course, all of that doesn't matter because your nationalist mind means you are better than anyone at anything.

. .
Militarily it's a success but as soon as the operation is done they will allow the locals of Fallujah to return whom are ISIS themselves, it's setting yourself up for failure to do that which is why the 2nd battle of Fallujah was won but it changed nothing.

A good number of Rawafid should inhabit Fallujah and Ramadi.
