This 20 minute interview ... all » will change how you view the U.S. occupation of Iraq forever. I cannot possibly recommend this more highly. An Iraq war veteran tells of atrocities he and other fellow-soldiers committed reguarly while in Iraq. I have never seen this level of honesty from a U.S. soldier who directly participated in the slaughtering of Iraqis.

Excerpts:

"When we were doing the night raids in the houses, we would pull people out and have them all on their knees and zip-tied. We would ask the man of the house questions. If he didn't answer the way we liked, we would shoot his youngest kid in the head. We would keep going, this was our interrogation. He could be innocent. He could be just an average Joe trying to support his family. If he didn't give us a satisfactory answer, we'd start killing off his family until he told us something. If he didn't know anything, I guess he was SOL."

"For not speaking out, I feel like I'm betraying my battle-buddies that died."

I don't think this person was total truthful in his statements. Although, I could have partiality toward the U.S. Army, I'm sure that constant killing of civilians didn't occur.

How is he betraying his battle buddies, Since according to him he along with them did all of that together. So by "coming out" he is actually hurting them. Since he was such a man of truth, why didnt he turn himself over to police, confessing to his crimes in the US or he could turned himself over to the Iraqi government. He is just gold digger.

Heck , he is stammering to death, i dont think he is telling the truth, it doesnt mean that Abu Gharib or the likes didnt happen. But this talks in way as if US was just pulling up people and killing them, quite like an ethnic cleansing.

Jeeze! It seems that a fantastic story, no matter how unbelievable, is somehow true. The man was not even a soldier, let alone served in Iraq. He was rejected by the USArmy as being unfit before he even completed recruit course.
