You forgot one. KRG also has Turkey's support. We are selling water and electricity to them, doing investments in KRG, buying their oil and gas and supporting independence from Baghdad. If we didn't do this. They wouldn't be able to strive for independence from Iraq. They get motivation for independence because we support them.

The insurgents allegedly stormed into the small village of Kojo in northern Iraq, where they spent five days trying to persuade villagers to take up their religion.
When they refused, the male members of the ancient sect were reportedly rounded up and shot dead, while more than 100 women and girls were kidnapped
The minority group is originally Aryan and has retained a fairer complexion, blonde hair and blue eyes by only marrying within the community.
But in a furious bid to convert all non-Muslims, ISIS jihadists have vowed to impregnate the hostages.
Addressing the kidnapping, Adnan Kochar, chairman of the Kurdish Cultural Centre in London, told MailOnline: 'The Kurds and Yazidis are originally Aryans.
'But because the Yazidis are such a closed community they have retained a fairer complexion, blonder hair and bluer eyes. They don't marry non-Yazidis.
'ISIS have taken around 300 women from Sinjar to give to jihadists to marry and make pregnant to have a Muslim child. If they can't kill all Yazidis, they will try to smash the blond bloodline.'

The call came in the early hours, the voice muffled, furtive and shaking with fear. ‘If they see me talking to someone they will kill me for sure, maybe kill all of us.’
This was Nisreen, a 17-year-old seized by the vicious Islamic State forces who have swept through Iraq and Syria spreading fear and panic.
She told how she was one of 96 Yazidi girls kidnapped when their towns and villages fell to the fanatics.
Now these teenagers wait in terror to be sold into slavery or forced into marriage with militant Islamists.
‘I know this exact number because I hear them talking,’ said Nisreen. ‘We are sure they have sold us. We do not fear for our lives but for our dignity as women.’
It was a brave phone call from a desperate woman.
The world has heard the hideous stories of refugees fleeing the jihadists but here, for the first time, was a voice from the other side: from a kidnap victim trapped in IS’s newly-won territory.
The husband of another teenage woman, heavily pregnant, held captive by the IS told me how she would rather the US bombed her prison – with her inside – than be handed out like a piece of property to an extremist fighter.
She said: ‘Let those jets come to bomb us and save us from this situation by killing all of us.’ She added death would be a better fate than to ‘be forced off with a strange man

How strong is the PKK/YPG , PUK force ?

PUK is supported by Iran and now part of the Kurdistan elite in Iraq.
PKK is Turkish Kurd of Marxist background.
PYD is Syrian Kurd affiliated to PKK.
YPG is the military wing of PYD.
Actually PUK is one group. PKK/PYD/YPG is another.
Actually PKK and PYD is the weakest of all the combatants in this Syrian/Iraq civil war. PKK and PYD is supported by Assad. I am not sure how strong they are but according to wiki they have 45,000 fighters.
But one thing I like them is they are diametrically opposite to Islamofascism and they are socialist They protect minorities and they are brave. They have a lot of women fighters and they are not afraid to die.
The Syrian Kurds hold on despite of poorer weapon and support because the PKK veterans who have fought turks for decades, went down support them.

a hardcore Marxist group, PKK/YGP is responsible for stopping IS merging Iraq's Ninewah with Syria's Hasakah province , which would have posed a major threat to Syria/Iraq/Turkey. Right now they are fiercely engaged with IS in Kobane, a Kurd majority town in N Syria
