Iran’s Foreign Ministry Pays Tribute to Prophet Zoroaster
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qassemi expressed condolences on the demise anniversary of the ancient Iranian Prophet Zoroaster.

In a message on Wednesday, Qassemi offered condolences to Zoroastrians.

“I send my condolences to the kind Zoroastrians in Iran and the Parsis (members of the Zoroastrian community) in other countries on the death anniversary of Zoroaster,” he said in a message.

“Zoroaster was the founder of religion of monotheism in ancient Iran and harbinger and preacher of Good Thoughts, Good Words and Good Deeds. Zoroastrianism has still based its identity on promoting love and friendship among good humans and avoiding hatred and demonic behaviors,” Qassemi added, according to the Foreign Ministry’s website.

The spokesman said that the Iranian nation and the Islamic Republic of Iran are the examples of a country and people that have always been able to raise the flag of coexistence and friendship among various religions on its monotheist lands.

“For this, Iran prides itself on enjoying the high culture in the current chaotic and volatile world,” he concluded.

Iran’s Larijani Sends Message to World Zoroastrian Congress
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani on Saturday issued a message to the 11th World Zoroastrian Congress, which is underway in Australia, saying the event is a good opportunity to explain and reiterate the causes of the monotheistic religion of Zoroastrianism.

“The 11th World Zoroastrian Congress provides a prime and desirable opportunity to explain and revisit the causes of this monotheistic religion, namely good thoughts, good words, and good deeds…,” Larijani said in the message.

“From a long time ago, the monotheist Iranians have sought the truth and good causes and correctly tried to spread it (the religion) through free thinking, rationality, and conscientiousness,” he noted.

Dialogue among followers of divine religions is always worthy of praise when aimed at promoting the humane understanding and encourage peace and morality, the parliament speaker stated.

For the first time in the history of the Zoroastrian community, the 11th World Zoroastrian Congress is being held in Australia, according to the official website of the congress.

The international event opened in Perth, Western Australia, on Friday and will last until Monday, June 4.

Tokhme jan, this (Zartosht No-Diso) is as per your modern Iranian seasonal Dastani calendar that intercalates for leap years and hence follows the Gregorian calendar. The equivalent for Parsis is the Fasli calendar. But Zartoshtis don't follow either Dastani or Fasli.

We follow our original ancient Zoroastrian calendars that do not intercalate for leap years and hence the day on the Gregorian calendar on which this day is observed moved ahead with time.

Parsis follow the older Shahenshahi calendar. Iranian Zartoshtis the more recent Kadmi.

As per these, this day is observed on the 11th day (Khorshed) of the 10th month (Dae). Which means May-June, as our calendars start in August.

Nice to see the respect from your state officials.

Cheers, Doc

Now, where will the 12th congress be held?.......Takhte Jamshid? Or will it be in Yazd? Or near Chak Chak?

Honestly, that would be something I would come for. A lot of us. Otherwise these Congresses to be honest are a lot of talking, and a lot of matchmaking and coupling. Lol

I'm begining to see the green shoots of a thaw between the community and your state. People to People has always been good.

When Rouhani came here, our community elders and leaders had a long meeting with him and his cabinet.

Now this special invitation at Perth. As far as I know, this is a first.

Cheers, Doc

If your community re-learns Persian again, at least the spoken language, then getting on the good side of Iran is too easy. Iran goes out of its way to accommodate then. It's that simple.

Our Akhonds shower free money and goodies on Afghani and Tajiks, just because they speak our language.

We recognise that. Many Parsis (not Iroons) can speak Dari and even Farsi.

The issue (officially) will always be your script. It's why you won't find copes of the Irani Avesta in any Agyari or Atash Bahram worldwide. Except of course in Iran.

Cheers, Doc

Well ,they made these comments and sent the message after Zoroastrian MP in parliament expressed his disappointment on the matter.
Honestly it was a lot better if they sent the messages before the complaint it was a lot more honest if they did that.
Specially as a Muslim we must respect all holy prophet and while Zoroastrianism is not an abrahamic religion its as close to them as it can be and if someone don't now better he easily can mistake them for each other .the believe in a single god the believe in hell and paradise they believe in a messiah and you can go on .

There are 290 seat in parliament 5 of them are guaranteed for 5 recognized minority (Jews, North Armenian, South Armenian, Assyrian, Zoroastrian)
Since 2008 Esfandiyar Ekhtiyarii is Zoroastrian representative in parliament.

In Norway, kurds claim that Zarthost was a kurd, and that zoroastrianism is a kurdish religion

Zorathustra was the first one to conceptualize monotheism and all the subsequent religions like Christianity and Islam copied this concept. It's really fascinating how religions were created from different parts of the world

Iranian Molla’s prophet is Zoorsater?!? Who’s next??? CIA, MOSAD etc...
