Did Iran just test an ICBM capable missile?

The tech is interchangeable/closely related, moreover Iran openly mentioned that this "Rocket" (Zoljanah) can be launched from mobile platforms as well.

This news is actually the most important imo, having the ability to launch road mobile ICBMs from anywhere in the country is a game-changer. I'm guessing this development is a point of leverage they can use against Biden's administration if they want to play hard-ball (which they most likely will). Clearly Iran has advanced immensely in the field of rocketry and will only continue to expand its capabilities moving forward.

Sarir, Soroush-1/2 will be seminal vehicles for Iran once they are rolled out.

ICBM is technologically nothing for Iran. Like I said previously, if Iran wanted an overt ICBM capability this would have been done many years ago. I feel going forward, these solid fuel mobile "SLV" system will become the domain of the IRGC; that way they will be showing their ICBMs with plausible deniability.

One of the most important news today is the Soroush-2 with cryogenic engines.

.

Kindly note that the SLV was launched from space center and not a road. They could see it from satellites too, let alone radars.

If you remember after launch of Qased/Nour, another launch was promised for July 2020 and was never brought up.

So Trump preferred to not talk about it before the election :)
