Iranian-made Oceanographic Research Ship

The head of National Oceanology Research Center says so:

For the Antarctica thing you are right, I mixed up this one with a another research ship which is twice bigger +100 m and will be used by researchers to handle needs in a shipping line from Chabahar, Iran to Ankarctica, in Antractica. The Persian Gulf Explorer will join Australia and India in a program to research Indian Ocean. The ship is planned to be used in Persian Gulf, Oman Sea, Arab Sea and Indian Ocean.

but the DP is correct and the ship has a DP system....

Again use a translate.google.com for more info:

It is not radiation hazard , just a sign shows that there is propeller.

I feel silly now....should have inspected the pictures more thoroughly :o:

I see now that the pic i quoted, the sign is more at the stern (indicative by the frame of yellow crane and a logical place for a side propeller to be), not towards the middle like i thought.
