Iranian Knowledge beased Company is producing Hard Disks

A Knowledge Based Company in Iran claims to have the capability of producing hard disks with at least 80 TB and at max 2 PB (2 * 10^15 bytes=2 PetaByte) capcity Based on the wishlist of the customers. The configuration of softwares and hardwares are being done by this Knowledge Based Company.

Their customers are mostly from governmental institutions such as state banks, ministeries etc. One of the engineers says that its important to ensure our customers of information Security and ensure them that there is no backdoor in our products. He adds that if you purchase these hardwares from abroad, then there would be no Security guarantee and its possible be spied on or lose your information which meight end up at enemy hands.

Currently only 5 companies are producing these hardwares from scratch. 4 of them are Based in USA and 1 in Japan.

They can Protect information in 3 Layers and that 24/7.

if their products are cheaper then foreign companies product it'll be very intresting product for datacenter and RAID configuration

I hope you have noticed that the capcity of their products Start from 80 TB. Suitable for big companies

Great news. Given the prowess of Iranians in the electronic engineering field, I am expecting the inevitable mass production of Iran's own microchips. I have little doubt the military is already doing it. It will be unacceptable for Iran not to become a large producer of such chips.

They don't produce hard disks, they import/use foreign parts, cpu, ram, hard drive, etc to produce storage servers but with a domestic interface.

Possibly, but without any Foreign support/supply still a good job even if they have assembled those components of hard drives. If they Received governmental support i am sure that They could produce hard disks too. In the article i mentioned that only 5 companies are capable of producing these hardwares from scratch.

Small step in right direction. Now they should move production toward SSD. They also should go commercial.

I have looked at their site they don't produce the he'd . they design and produce the interface that connect those he'd together.
