Persians hate Arabs. Arabs destroyed the Persian empire. Even though, both are Muslims now. Persians haven't forgotten Saif-ullah who with the grace of Allah shattered the Persian empire like a broken glass. Ever since that happened, Persians decided to revenge the Arab when they get an opportunity. They've done it always. They want Pakistan be annexed to Iran.

I will. In fact let me look at this issue again and review my thoughts. Maybe I am wrong. Maybe GHQ is wrong that Iran presents a major threat equal to India/Afghan border and Pak needs to mobilize major assets to counter that threat. Ps. I am not denying that Iran since 1979 is frustratingly difficult to deal with - with Mulllahs in charge no surprises there but for Pakistan Iran is second biggest important country to China. And worth our diplomatic effort to wean it away from India and align it with our orbit with China. Not easy but worth big time.

Allah chose Arabic language. We (Pakistan) chose Persian for our anthem. We did not have choice with the former. We had choice in 1947 with the latter. Sir Allama Iqbal read the Quran in Arabic but CHOSE to write poetry in Persian. It was elective NOT preordained.

So do try to finesse the differance between ordained and choice.

Its sad but we can't blame modern day Shias for it...I say, lets keep an eye on Iran...

You will notice border fencing, walls, hardpoints on the IRANIAN side of the border - on Pakistani side there is not much but emptiness. Please take the time to traverse the border and see who is trying to secure the border. Satellite images don't lie.
