The solar call you posted has nothing to do with KSA, it's entirely Japanese made and the in pic you posted the Japanese have brought the drone to Saudi Arabia for showing it off.

Also, it's not a uav, it seems you don't know the difference between a uav and a solar car.How is this gonna fly?

At the end, most solar cars participated in 2011 World solar challenge in Darwin Australia practically look the same! before posting something, read a little bit about it.

I thought in a 'joint' project, flags of both countries are supposed to be there??I only see Japan's flag and yes, the palm and sword is visible.Seems to me majority of the job is done by Japanese and even if it's Saudi, good for you.that's not important in this thread.

its not saudi. japan won the solar challenge in 2011, so its laughable to claim that they would go on joint venture with a technical third world country.

btw, the next world solar challenge is from 6th to 13th October this year, so we would see how this solar car will perform. the last time iran ended up on the 17th place and ksa on the 29th place with their wahj.

I hate it when Iranian regime ruins reputation of Iranians as intelligent and educated people by unveiling some badly designed mockups, but Saudis, you should be last to complain about anything really, because most of your so-called researchers don't even know basic principles of research. At least that's not the "real" issue with Iranians, Iran's current miserable situation is because of the corrupt incompetent Islamic anti-Iranian regime ruling it, not education of its people, who are majorly successful in all aspects of life, well, maybe not the people who are in chain of Islamic regime.

Low population, huge oil revenue, Hajj "tourism", gold mines, etc... yet you are unable to industrialize your country.

Saudi Arabia is not a developed country, and most likely will never will be in the next 30 years, being a developed country does not only mean being a rich one! It has to do with levels of education of its people, quality of that education, culture, etc...

Majority of Saudis I have seen when I was studying were intelligent people who used their brain for anything other than studying (which was paid by their government).

That Solar vehicle was not built "with cooperation of Tokia university", it was bought by Saudi money, built by Japanese expertise!
