Indeed the first announcement placed the project at around 2025 which was then reduced to a 2023 figure and now the ten year figure which the report states. This leads us to one of two conclusions. One is that perhaps Iran has actually made some headway in her SLV technology and program (which I do not deem), or two that the project has been re-prioritized at a much higher level which materially means funding and resources (which I deem as most logical).

Anyhow, I do not find it pragmatic to release such futuristic dates when Iran is evidently quiet distant. I would have rather that they announced when a finalization state had been materially arrived at.

Before sending "Omid" satellite to space in 2008, same statement was very common about Iran space technology for lunching a satellite.
I guess , not doubt about the necessity of Iran space program, only question is, how to civilized and make it marketable and bring it in daily life.
