Iran warns Pakistan over militant acts at border

[INDIAPOSITIVE]

GENEVA – Iran’s Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani in a meeting with Senate Chairman Nayyar Hussain Bokhari in Geneva warned against the spread of terrorism and extremism in the region.

He said that militants’ hit-and-run operations at the two countries' border had raised concerns in Tehran. “The militant acts in the region pose great threats to all countries and Pakistan has also been affected,” Larijani said during a meeting held on the sidelines of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) here.

Larijani reiterated that Pakistan plays an important role in confronting terrorism. “Iran and Pakistan are cooperating in the fight against terrorism, but some terrorist acts at (Iran's) eastern borders have caused concerns,” he said in Tehran. The senate chairman said that Tehran and Islamabad have many commonalities in regional and international arenas.

He reiterated that terrorists were threatening the entire region and said that the Pakistan government was determined to combat terrorism and it has been relatively successful. He said that Pakistan had adopted measures to confront the terrorist acts along its western borders with Iran.

Iran shouldnt expect anything from Pakistan at all, they can not even fully protect their international airports from terrorist attacks nevermind their borders.

Well brother, we regard that as your own internal affairs and for sure you know better on what to do but be sure we will take a firm stand against terrorist activities from Pakistani territory. The terrorism from there must stop, too many lifes have been lost by the Pakistani governments negligence.

Have you seen the border between Iran and Pakistan ? here are images from the Iran Pakistan border

The parts of the border than are manned , all have barriers so unless these militants are jumping jacks with lighting fast legs , 10 minutes to get in and out is nearly impossible

The parts of the border that are unnamed and mountainous then , there is no civil or militarry presence within 10 minute walking or running distance , and these are also not places where vehicles can be driven accross and back in 10 minutes.

You people have made a habit of blaming Pakistan , india and afghanistan are no different in this regard

The parts of the border that are unnamed and mountainous then , there is no civil or militarry presence within 10 minute walking or running distance , and these are also not places where vehicles can be driven accross and back in 10 minutes.

And no, your side of the border are unprotected or you thought that border protection is exactly on the crossing point between the 2 countries ? LOL

usually border protections are like 1 KM or few hundred meters deep in own territory. So in order for the terrorists to cross into Iranian territory and do hit and run tactics they must have been passed the somehow ''existing Pakistan border checkpoints,protection''

Do you see where the problem is ?

Not only India is having problems with these terror activities but Iran as a fellow muslim country is voicing its concerns too.

Open your eyes to the reality and shake the extended hand for cooperation against terrorists.
