The National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) reached an agreement with the International United Petroleum and Chemical Corporation (UNIPEC) to beef up daily exports to China to 500,000 barrels, Tehran Times reported on Feb. 18.

Dow Jones Newswires was cited as saying that NIOC previously reduced oil shipments to China for commercial reasons rather than political reasons. The agreement is another sign that China has no intention of mimicking US-led sanctions against Iran.

Although the details of the new agreement have not been unveiled, last year's contract said that Iran exported 220,000 barrels of crude and 60,000 barrels of natural gas per day to China.

Iran's oil minister visited Beijing last week to talk about a new crude supply contract, and to discuss other oil, gas and petrochemical projects.

Good for China and India, lets buy the oil at cheap price and stock up. We have our own interest.

Since India bought it first, therefore US has no more excuse to attack us if we buy more Iranian oil. :coffee:

Too bad .... we shouldn't have bought first. Atleast US would have got an excuse to attack you.

India has no oil field, you can't take the risk of cutting your own oil supply.

China can play with this card, but India cannot. :coffee:

We do have oil fields, however they are not enough to fulfill the need of the country that's why we buy from Iran and other countries. If we wanted to be on the safe side we could have just gone with the US imposed sanctions and gotten the oil from Saudi's who would be more than willing to sell us. But we didn't so yes we can play any card we want, and lets not forget India never reduced it oil sale from Iran unlike some countries:whistle:.

whattttttttt a chinese thanking an indian 4 being courageous...... your xing ping or whatever his name is will be pissed off on knowing this....:woot:

On one hand US provide weapon to our rival state and on other they expect us to coperate in thier embargo by giving up our old ally and business partner for them...........i mean there must be some limit to stupidity & arrogance...

India did the right thing:cheers:

You can feel courageous for all you want, but we only need a human shield in the global playground with the West. :coffee:

Coward- perceived failure to demonstrate sufficient mental robustness and courage in the face of a challenge.

India-China friendship looks like Chini Hindi Bhai Bhai on Iran lolz.

We don't want to play "who is the best friend of Iran" contest with India, but what we want is to make Iran safe, since it is an important part of our national interests. :coffee:

Now thats more like a sissy coward hiding behind 1962......wait how many yr back it was? ooooh ok it was 50 yrs back .... and din't your same brave army surrendered to vietnam woman army .....lolllllllllllllll

why not rewind a bit more...is there something called JAPAN??

India is stuck between Israel and Iran now. neutral role by India is getting harder.

Since historically Israel didn't act openly hostile towards us, so we can leave some political room to them by promising them that to not support Iran to acquire the nuclear weapons, but if Iran wants to develop the capability to make the nuclear weapons, then this is something beyond our control that we cannot promise to them. :coffee:
