well i want to ask you a question how long can the Su fighters maintain their top speed vs how long the f35 can and besides the t 50 cant even supercruise yet, it might be able in the future but as of now it can't.


the f35 can fly supersonic for relatively short distances 150 ish miles without using afterburners.

Are people really trying to defend that waste of american tax dollars?
come on even JOHN MCCAIN said it was a waste of money and funds.
it is a cheap export fighter. nothing more or less.
the Israeli defense minister i recall even said that they should consider looking at other 5th gen jet projects rather then buy the F-35.
it can't dogfight well. it relies on Air to air missiles (which as proven by the 3rd gen of aircraft are not dogfight killers). and the top speed is a sluggish 1.5 mach.
the U.S should have never designed that jet. they should have made more F-22s (not a perfect jet but a far superior jet) or invested in the F-15 silent eagle (which i heard is thankfully being made without government contract by boeing http://www.airforce-technology.com/projects/boeing-f15se-silent-eagle/)
In addition with the accusation china is stealing the plans. 1. even if it is true that doesn't make it a good fighter & 2. Shenyang aerospace corporation (the J-31's creator) has also been hacked by numerous sources (making it possible that the u.s has also hacked into Chinese 5th gen projects).
that said.... multiple Chinese generals have been calling the J-31 a waste of funds also (so it may actually be the F-35...).
