This is a good example of a nation. Great going Iran. They never took external pressure for their intrests.

Where were they and where are they now without the support of international community.

And look at us. Our politicians are fighting for their positions. We are still there where we were in 1947.

Even China (1949) is younger the Pakistan (1947).
Malaysia, Indonesia, Dubai, Srilanka,....even Bangladesh is growning faster then Pakistan.
You can compare ecnomoy of these countries with Pakistans economy.
Even, in 21st centruy we are demanding for water and electricity.

Some one i guess it was gambit who called it an over rated trainner. I wonder why would he call it that? By the way does the plane really has an aesa radar, i mean not even China has it and Russia too has it only in its MIG-35 for now. Strange and werid if they really have managed to pull that one off.

Not a correct statement.

We have made substantial progress since 1947 perhaps not as much as we should have made but still substantial.

some of the specs listed above are a little suspect since it is a light attack/trainer aircraft. most sources I read list it as a subsonic aircraft. And putting such a large and advanced radar in a light fighter (and it is a light fighter/trainer) doesn't sound right. the aircraft ceiling sounds high as well. and Russia did help them in the very beginning then pulled out. But several Russian designers reportedly stayed on. So it is not quite a totally home grown aircraft

Iran had signed an a agreement with Russia to develop the Shafaq fighter jet but media reported that agreement like Iran getting Su-30 jets from Russia, Iran & Russia denied the media reports.

i agree with most of this, and keep in mind that the info can from iran meaning i throw out 60% of it as junk, asea? yea not a chance in hell even if they came from russia it make no sense to put it in this aircraft not to mention the powerplant would probably not be able to handle the rader
