My answer was at best what I was intending to relay to him- that the US is vetoing it OR at worst mis-informed that the " vote" had taken place-- YET the fact remains that US is vetoing it..

Thats not lack of "critical thinking poor poor man"- thats at worst -not being aware of a vote taking place.
