Iran relaunches Russian-made submarine

TEHRAN (AP): Iran's state TV is reporting the country's navy relaunched one of its Russian-made submarines after repairing its systems with locally-made replacement parts.Iran has tried to build a self-sufficient military programme since 1992.

The report Tuesday says that navy personnel overhauled the Taregh, one of its three Kilo class submarines, replacing 18,000 components including radar-evading cover, engine parts, propellers and radars.

State TV showed video of the relaunch from a dry dock in an Iranian port.

Iran added the three Kilo class submarines to its underwater fleet in early 1990s soon after it founded its submarine unit. Several smaller Iranian-built submarines have also been deployed by its navy.

Our Navy commander says that Russia didn't want repair this submarines for us and even other countries didn't gave us any guidance and they didn't help us , so we begin to repair it by ourselves and during this years we manage to build 18000 parts of this submarine by ourselves ...

our navy commander add : Perhaps if we would send it to Russia then they wouldn't send it back to us ....

our navy change this submarine name and the name is " TAREGH " ( طارق ) ....

(sorry , my English isn't good so I think I can't translate it to English very well )

They didn't sell us s-400. In fact, we suspended all weapon purchases from Russia. We realized their weapons are jokes.
Lets just hope the Iranians don't get trapped and drown in this death box within the first week.

don't worry this is our 4th kilo submarine , they had tested it before sending it to the waters... so it won't sink.
and russia have the best SAM and SSM ones. but US have the best airforce.
and there is one more good thing. now even russia don't know that what is in this submarine . lol .

Just like how we put the Americans on their place we will do the same against the Russians, that incase if they keep showing their hostilities against us

OMG whole world knows that moscow ABM's is untouchable russia was way ahead of US for ABM back in 70 & 80 really think s-400 & S-500 systems are jokes! thats why i used that word in first place!!

BTW thats not the point ,im talking about any country being more alliance to you than us yet you call us russia china ally
