few good research papers among many. muslim countries needs improvement.

I can agree that yes the muslim world needs improvement overall with regards to STEM.

But Iran is ahead of most of its peers in Muslim world by large amount on per capita basis.

They are peer reviewed in large number and have a solid citation per paper:

Ranking is good and improving each year. They should be emulated by rest of Islamic world given they are doing this with much lower GDP per capita than Turkey (in nominal USD terms) and about same population.

In 1996 they were just below Pakistan in ranking (rank 53). Now they are ranked number 16 and are catching up with some true science heavyweights.

Only good quality papers get published in peer reviewed journals, and sorry to say but Pakistan is no where in the picture.

as i said muslim countries need to improve. there re few goof ones. thats what i said. for example you can't say that quaid e azam university islamabad research work is third rated. we are best in many fields. but we need to improve, which we are. hec was formed in 2002 and now our education bomb is exploding good.

Look at this thread and tell me who is the one starting a "Iran vs Pakistan". Your fellow countrymen whom seems very upset over Iran advancing started this. Sadly, in this forums it is becoming a theme that when a certain thread is opened about some advancement about Iran, you almost never seen an Indian making negative remarks, but it's almost always a Pakistani. Iranic people are very proud, they never start anything, but if someone says anything about their homeland, then appropriate replies are given.
