Military Chiefs of Iran, Pakistan Call for Action on Rohingya Crisis
September 17, 2017 - 12:01

Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Hossein Baqeri and Pakistan’s Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa expressed concern about the ongoing Rohingya Muslim crisis in Myanmar, calling for Muslim world action to help end the plight of the Muslim minority.

In a telephone conversation on Sunday, the two top generals discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries’ armed forces to help the Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar.

They also called on the Muslim world to do more and help stop the “unfavorable” and “inhumane” situation of the Rohingya community in the Southeast Asian country.

Baqeri and Bajwa further said that military and non-military organizations of Muslim countries could mobilize their forces and facilities to speed up the dispatch of humanitarian relief to the persecuted Muslims in Myanmar.

The Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar have long faced severe discrimination and were the targets of violence in 2012 that killed hundreds and drove about 140,000 people from their homes to camps for the internally displaced.

On September 12, the UN refugee agency said the number of Rohingya Muslim refugees that have fled recent violence in Myanmar has spiked to about 370,000.

Earlier, the UN top human rights official accused Myanmar of carrying out “a textbook example of ethnic cleansing” against Rohingya Muslims.

Zeid Ra’ad al-Hussein, the UN high commissioner for human rights, said the military’s “brutal” security campaign was in clear violation of international law, and cited what he called refugees’ consistent accounts of widespread extrajudicial killings, rape and other atrocities.

They actually talked about the splitting of booties in Idlib. Turkeys convoys are already on the border.

What is happening to the Rohingya is wrong, but I still think it is Myanmar's internal affairs.

Sam way we wouldn't want others to interfere in our internal affairs.

not agree with your lines........

if you cant go for help you should help as an aid........and the most lower you can pray for them..........
muslim depend upon muslim..........
one ummah ...........

one can expect indian awami stooges class and their cheerleaders in Bangladesh and outside going nuts over this news.

On another development, according to BD foreign ministry Myanmar quietly approached BD to discuss Rohingya issue. Myanmar giving condition that Bangladesh should not term Myanmar mass killings and brutality as genocide. Myanmar regime living in fools world - even BD awami regime can be hushed, people of Bangladesh, UN, Amnesty, Human rights watch, EU and rest of the world will be calling out genocide and ethnic cleansing by Myanmar.

Why did Pakistan sign up with USA on cooperation on war on terror? Now they use that excuse to violate pakistans sovereignty.
Back in 2002-2003... they offered Bangladesh the same with offer to participate in Iraq for military aid, training etc.... we didn't sign up....

Just an opinion of mine Sarkar. I've no mamay ka beta in GHQ.

The reality is Pakistan cannot do anything militarily for the Rohingya. It is engaged in a war like situation with India at the LOC and a never ending conflict on the Afghan border. Pakistan is also trying to secure its border with Iran. Pakistan's army is fully stretched and does not have the capacity to help defend the Rohingya. Iran in the other side is heavily involved in Syria, Iraq, Yemen and Lebonon. They too have very little concern for Rohingya. The only country in the region that is able to provide a safe passage is Bangladesh. If nations can't assist militarily then they must support financially and help the refugees.

The military chiefs of Iran and Pakistan have called on the Muslim world to take more concrete actions to end the violence against the persecuted Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar’s Rakhine state.
But, there is no similar words from any of our three military Chiefs. Bloody bas*tards without balls. Our military Chiefs must be spending sleepless nights at the thought of being killed and leaving behind their fat *** ugly wives.

Now you know. That is why Iranian, Pakistani or Turkish forces chief did not bother to talk to Bangladeshi counterpart.

No need to talk army to army until there is a military campaign decided in the political level.

This is not a discussion for war, rather a customary gesture BUT no one in Muslim or rest of the world take awami indian stooges in confidence or think they are looking after interest of Bangladeshi people.
sure awami indian stooges kept Bangladesh in isolation and now people are seeing utter disaster from it.

Countries should stop trying to interfere on Myanmar's internal issues. How would be other countries deal with illegal migrants occupying their land?
