I have no where suggested that Pakistan should become a theocratic state in post 9 I suggested alliance with Chinese and Russians as well. Logic being red lines of all 4 countries are being threatened by Americans

problem is cash hiring is not the problem our banks are not giving loan for this since they will be blacklisted and none will work with them zardari wont give it from its pockets best option is to use the our own fundings but fat chance for that too

I think he does not realise that Pakistan has signed a contract where if it is not completed in 2014 Pakistan has to pay a penalty I have seen figures of $1 to 8 million dollars per day bandied around. Also the OP incorrectly states the cost is over 7 bill that is for TAPI. IP cost is nearer $1.5 billion for all and Pakistan is only responsible for half. A contract for $50 million has been signed by Pakistan with a German company which is already doing surveys etc

I think one of the impediments probably is that our corrupt leaders are trying to get more money than needed cos they want kickbacks and bribery money

Both are close friends of India/Pakistan so tough to go forward.
