Both Iran and Pakistan have suffered immensely due to poor R&D, however, with captured/seized hi-end technology based hardware and with assistance from China and Russia, these two countries have been able to take giant leaps through reverse engineering these hardware items.

Lol China's 5th generation fighters are built using stolen technology From US fighters. They use Russian engines currently which even their own engines are based on Russian engines.

Many Chinese designs are just reverse engineered or rip offs of Russia/US designs that they got through military espionage.

Most of China's military growth over last 3 decades was owed to the fact they reverse engineered Soviet Union designs and slapped a different name.

Iran never got that privilege. Both the East and West don't want a strong Iran. Furthermore, the East is too afraid of the US pressure to ever seriously engage with Iran in military projects or arms sales.

So Iran can create limited amount of unique independent projects due to severe restricted access to advanced military tech as well as limited funds due to heavy sanctions on its economy and also Iran's fault of corruption/mismanagement of its economic sectors.

J-2, J-5, J-6, J-7, J-11, J-15, J-16 are ALL copied from Russian aircraft. Dating from the 1950s to the 21st century. The JF-17 even uses a Russian engine. The J-20 and J-31 benefit from hacked American technology.

Iran uses reverse engineering to cut cost and time and that doesn't make Iran dependent!

over 25 years ago when Iran started mass producing reversed engineered TOW ATGM if instead of reverse engineering Iran had chosen to go with it's own design it would have taken Iran almost a decade just trying to perfect a production model that would have no difference in capability. Instead Iran chose to just copy every component and learned right there how much time and money they would save reverse engineering on proven designs!

And yes for Iranian weapons systems there are specific components that Iran imports like processors, memory storage devices, advanced cameras,.... but so what? The point is Iran's MOD chooses to take the fastest and cheapest route!

Fact is if your nonsense had any truth behind it then why place sanction on Iran that not only ban the sale of super alloys to Iran but also prohibit Iran from producing certain super alloys at home? What are they so afraid of? according to you Iran is a dependent country that wouldn't be able to forge them into capable weapons systems anyways and if that had any truth to it, it would be far more logical to let Iran waste it's resources in the attempt! Yet they don't! Now ask yourself why that is!

This drone had done operations near China completely successful. It doesn't mean that Chinese cannot down it, but the credit goes to us. And its a war trophy.
