Secretary of State John Kerry (L) leaves Palais Coburg, the venue for nuclear talks in Vienna, Austria, July 13, 2015.
Iran and six major powers have clinched a historic nuclear deal, Reuters reported early Tuesday, citing an Iranian diplomat, sending oil prices lower.

The agreement would likely see some sanctions on Tehran removed in exchange for restrictions to its nuclear program.

"All the hard work has paid off and we sealed a deal. God bless our people," the diplomat told Reuters, speaking on the condition of anonymity. The news agency said that another Iranian official had confirmed the agreement.

Oil prices came under pressure following the news, with Brent crude trading down 1.7 percent at $57.85 a barrel at 7:30 a.m. London time.

Iran and the major powers have been negotiating for more than two weeks in Vienna in an effort to strike a deal under which Tehran would curb its nuclear program in return for relief from economic sanctions that have crippled its economy.

Iran and six major powers have reached a historic nuclear deal, which will grant Tehran sanctions relief in exchange for curbs on its nuclear programme, an Iranian diplomat said on July 14.

"All the hard work has paid off and we sealed a deal. God bless our people," the diplomat told Reuters on condition of anonymity. Another Iranian official confirmed the agreement.

A Western source with knowledge of the negotiations confirmed on July 14 that Iran and six major world powers have clinched a nuclear deal.

"Yes, there is agreement," said the source who declined to be identified.

The foreign ministers of Iran and six major powers will meet for nuclear talks at 0830 GMT at the United Nations centre in Vienna to be followed by a news conference, a spokeswoman for the European Union said on July 14.

Tehran and the six powers have been holding marathon diplomatic negotiations at the ministerial level for more than two weeks to resolve a 12-year stand-off over Iran's nuclear programme.

Israel must be fuming right now.

After 17 days of very intense and hard negotiations (at the tale of 2 years and tens of rounds of negotiations under new gov and 12 years of a crisis manufactured by western countries and warmongers), finally a deal is reached and in nearly an hour, a news conference will be held.

After 12 years, the nuclear issue is finally resolved.

Although, we should not get rushed yet, as the U.S congress should review it and it should get a pass from the hawkish congressmen, but because of POTUS veto powers, we can say more than 90% and the most important part of the job (reaching the deal itself) has been accomplished.

Will post updates as soon as the news conference is held.

Bad news for India. Now China and Pakistan will take away the Chabahar port from you Bharatis!!

Bye bye Chabahar. China and Pakistan will rule the middle east.

another Turkmanchay ... and I should go and buy arms ... another Iraq and Lybia is coming ...

Complete wastage of resources by the bone headed Iranian mullahs. They should had built the bomb or had given it up long before.

Hope India and Iranian JV projects will now be on track and benefit the region !

Well, it is bad news for the GCC, since the Iranian oil that has been stored, will now be able to reach the markets openly and extremely swiftly...along with more crude coming in. Analysts are already predicting oil falling down to 20-30 USD a barrel.
