The GOI itself has not really looked into the option yet nor can such a large project (private or otherwise) be carried out without the blessings of the govts. involved. We will all have to wait for a bit to see any traction on the issue, although the private concerns involved will have assessed such risks and factors. Let us wait and see how things pan out.

IMO TAPI is a better option for Pak as Turkmenistan is ready to provide cheaper gas(due to US pressure) plus it could lay grounds for future cooperation between India, Pakistan n Afghanistan.
PS - as per latest developments Iran has refused to fund Pakistan's part of IP project.
TAPI is a better choice for Pakistan due to various reasons. I agree with you 100%.
