What's new

Iran , India and the West

Its not politics as I said. India really wants a strategic relationship (not merely economic or business) with Israel despite it being so small, remote and generally irrelevant to our interests. That satellite was nothing. We are the largest foreign customer of Israeli weapons (~50% of total exports). Have been for years. They are our 2nd largest supplier after Amreeka. All this not counting all the Israel worship by the Indians visible even on PDF itself.
So change your mind yet?:devil::devil::devil:
Look at the realpolitik. If Arab nations today make India decide between them or Israel, trust me India will opt for the Arabs as against Israel. There is a lot at stake. But as I said its the national interest for all that plays the biggest role and no bilateral relations are slave to a third nation.

. . .
lol , no not at all :)

ok brother , since we are going a little off-topic here , i'll invite you to our chill-thread tomorrow and i'll explain everything for you .

is that alright with u mate ?
ya sure .....

.
Full support to Iranian brothers on the nuclear stuff but just don't drop any on our other brother Israel . We have denied their no vote request to support you so don't let us down . If you ever feel like live testing nukes drop on Pak . :police:

.
Who get all the support from Europe? Israel or Palestine? And what is the outcome? Its all hogwash. What could the Arab nations do about Palestine and how is their relations with the west? In reality its only Iran that poses a real threat to Israel and not the Arabs and hence the Israeli fear psychosis thats driving west against Iran.
Am talking about support to Palestine. Sure they may not recognize Palestine yet (western EU only) and give military aid to Israel, but they like us also support the same thing as us - statehood to Palestine, complete halt on border expansion by Israel etc. Their media and public opinion is super-critical of Israeli actions unlike ours.
As for the outcome of such support, you must be JOKING. What has India's support done?
Russia is a sovereign nation and can do what they want. They will assess the pros and cons of selling weapons to Pakistan and will do what they deem fit
Blah
Whatever you may think, these actions will have a tremendously detrimental impact over Indo-Russian relation. If they ever decide to ignore all the protests by India (yes, unlike you GOI will protest and vehemently protest at that) and go ahead with it that will be the final push that puts India in western corner.

What about Russia arming our other adversary to the teeth all these years? After all, Pak military is not really a threat for us, but China is. And guess where China gets all their technology from? From combat aircrafts to ships to submarines to jet engines to you name it.

I'm pretty sure that Iranians have less to worry about India purchasing Israeli weapons, than India has to worry about Russian technology and weapons in Chinese hands. India is not going to use any of its weapons against Iran - but China for sure will use the Russian weapons against India, should a war arise.

If India and Russia could be strategic partners over all these decades, despite them arming China, I don't see why India and Iran can't be friends, despite our purchase of weapons and tech from Israel.

Reasons why India couldn't do $hit against Russia all these years when they armed the Dragon-

-Such ties existed for a long time, even b4 Indo-Soviet ties
-India tooo weak and poor to tell the mighty Soviets to do anything
-Soviets only source (reliable) of weapons to India not to mention affordable, so no real choice but to buy Russian
-After the fall, Russians too weak and poor and so every buyer was welcome
-After the fall, India still too weak and poor to influence the Russians
:bunny:
Not to mention India was still a pariah in the West. They too armed Pakistan. So Russia was the only logical choice. We needed their veto on a variety of issues. Also there is no strategic relationship after the fall, only buyer-seller. You may try to make the case about Gorkshov and Akula..............don't even think about it- they were old, rusting junk that Ruskies were happy to get of their chest. Earlier we could threaten to stop future purchases from Russia if they sold to Pakistan. But today when we are already rejecting most of their stuff we have no influence over them. Also China isn't/wasn't considered an enemy of the same degree as Pakistan. We have relatively normal relationship with them. Russia selling Pakistan any war-critical technology is certain to set back our relationship by a great margin.
Today we can choose between Russia/China and the West. Who do you think is better for us?:azn: We'll remain NA'ed because there is really no need to choose right now, but future?

Now to Iran-Israel-India, that was really just an attempt to troll haman10 and Indian members:flame:but now that I have to write such long posts to defend every point:angry: I give up:cry:

Long Live India-Iran friendship.

why?? mate?
in indian yogic culture we referred to him as a realized person,, he came to gujarat and punjab. we considered him as not a human being, all the realized persons are in one way door way to ultimate......
same thing happened to jesus christ,

and mate i am sorry if any of my posts are hurtful...

Guys...we have to understand, it is not always necessary that what we feel is realized person, rest of the other people share the view...We should also respect and agree to disagree with some of the things of others..

That's two trolls I have exposed on the same thread.

.
than why india and afghanistan keep requesting Pakistan for land route?

I had already explained as to why Chabahar potential trade is only 0.3-0.6% of Gwadar potential trade.

If Pakistan becomes unstable, then Chabar would be the port of choice for all other countries accessing central asia. Gwadar would have to become full time Naval port then. If Gwadar wants to become a port of Choice for Central Asian markets, even for China, then internal stability and good relations with neighbours is a must.

.
of course i do , but its politics man , it shows it's dirty side from time to time .
this does NOT mean that by each hardship we should destroy all the bridges behind us and we should put behind the 5000 year old relations .
thats not how it works . we are actually more happy with the new govt. in india and we hope their moto of independent foreign policy will help us in regards to bilateral relations .
long live iran-india relations
besides , regarding the satellite , we have our own defensive measures :
You're a Good Salesman.....you handle all FOLLIES with little smile....Iran need people like yours :p:

Hmmm

Ha. Expected answer. :dirol:
So you wouldn't have problems with Russia selling Yakhont to Pakistan? or selling Su 30 M2? or Mig 35?
FYI India's stand on Palestine is nothing special. Look at all the support they get in European countries.
What's your point? India wants fruitful relations with as many nations as possible and, to its credit, it has been able to forge relationships with nations that have animosity with one another. India need not get dragged into their disputes nor take sides, simply make it clear that India is out to secure her own interests and not to take sides. If there are mature leaders on all sides then there needn't be an issue.

I think it is abundantly clear why India wants to be friends with both Iran and Israel and no one is going to tell India who to be friends with, India's strategic autonomy allows it to operate in ways almost no other nation on earth is able to.

.
mate , we iranians are all like that :)

if you were a member before 2013 you would know that we had great relations with pakistani members too , till they started insulting and cussing iranians , that was when we showed them our other face :D

You're a Good Salesman.....you handle all FOLLIES with little smile....Iran need people like yours :p:
