Also, there is no proof that the man that was murdered was trying to rape her. His family asked her to provide proof and then they would forgive her. .
I am not aware of the legal system in your country to begin with......

From a common man point of view, Please tell me is it the job of the accused to prove not guilty??? It is the job of prosecution to prove the crime right?????? How can she prove he was trying to rape her, and she resisted rape and killed him......If the rape is committed then it can be proved that there was rape thru medical examination......

But i think we are ignoring another important link in this crime......

Miss Jabbari was sentenced to death in 2009 after what Amnesty called a “deeply flawed investigation”. She admitted stabbing Morteza Abdolali Sarbandi, a former intelligence ministry official, but pleaded self-defence. On her account, she stabbed Sarbandi in the back as he was trying to rape her – but the victim was actually killed by another named person, who was never the focus of inquiry.

Amnesty said these claims “if proven” could have exonerated Miss Jabari. But they were never “properly investigated, raising many questions about the circumstances of the killing”.

He was mentioned about a law in your nation.I dont think that is wrong .Since I also heard and read about it in internet.

This thread was not about Pakistan but he dragged Pakistan in just for the sake of trolling .

An outsider cant judge who is right and who is wrong .But when outside nations and agencies criticise them I think there is some stereotype mentality in there.Similarly they also targeted India after 2012 Delhi case and unleashed same stereotype.
After all that is their law and constitution .

Then report it to Mods .Counter trolling only cause derailing of topic.

Not that i support this execution, but any woman can murder any man and later on describe it as a self defense to avoid rape. A little use of grey matter doesn't hurt.

.
Oh please. You rant against amnesty and say that you don't support it. Of course you do support it. It's even worse because you are supposed to be one of those "educated people." There is no justification for this at all.

What kind of proof are you looking for? 4 witnesses? She had no reason to randomly kill a government official despite knowing that she would get in trouble.

Those bearded buffoons tried to do the same in Pakistan; thankfully the Supreme Court ruled in favor of DNA tests for rape victims !

DNA evidence in rape cases: For religious leaders, it's still a question mark - Pakistan - DAWN.COM

Ironically the Council of Islamic Ideology was created by one of the most secular Prime Ministers of Pakistan and for what ? Just to gain some additional votes for his Prime Ministership !

How do you know it wasn't proved that no rape happened? You expect them to release whole documents to appease the media?

Also, I was reading that she had texted her friends few nights before that "she is finally going to kill him". Although this text message doesn't prove that a rape was going to happen or not, but it proves that she didn't decide to murder him on that day specifically and that she had planned it before.

I can not seem to find this report. Could you direct me to the date in question when it was aired?

What happens to the murderer after he is forgiven? Does he gain absolute freedom from prosecution and punishment by law?

It was broadcast on BBC radio in Persian language today, after she was executed. I read a brief piece of that interview in BBC Persian Facebook page.

If I'm not mistaken, after forgiveness, he/she will serve few months or years because of 'public impact or aspect' of his/her crime, but not in all cases. Sometimes, he/she will be released immediately.
