What's new

Iran exports coal to Pakistan!!

Iranian sponsored death squads have taken out plenty of Pakistanis and their unchecked recruitment of Pakistanis to fight their proxy wars abroad who then come back to Pakistan to create mayhem, as well as their sponsorship/support for BLA as well as RAW's operations in Pakistan are known and accepted facts.

Uzair Baloch had an Iranian passport and was routinely going back and forth from Iran with full diplomatic cover. Kulbhashan Yadev was operating of Iran and was using their soil as a launching pad for terrorist attacks in Pakistan.

Isn't the first para the negligence of **** security apparatus right from police to L no 1?

Where is uzair or kalbushan?, were u able to prove and sentence the former or yield anything from later?

Saudis will punish Pakistan hard for doing business with Iran
And Americans too, different and odd times for Pakistan these days....if the street rages enters the Pakistani govt.....hmmmm!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well if Pakistan has to go down importing, it might as well waste all it’s forex reserves on a brotherly country such as Iran.
seems like its a barter deal between Iran and Pakistan, so no forex used, Iran and Pakistan should have been using local currencies to trade already...or basket of currencies.....but Pakistan is under US control now, so forget that idea for near future.

They're not exactly warlords - they're feudals with lot's of land from which they derive thier Power - warlord's are people with tanks, or you know people with heavy weaponary and stuff, kinda people who can form governments in thier areas without any Centeral army to crush them down

There's a big difference between the 2 and Baloch in Balochistan proper are 2-3 % of the population

- parliementry democracy where leaders are changed like diapers - some critical coalition partners of government in parliement according to government at the time took money to switch towards opposition

warlords are people with private army and those sardars have their own private army which is loyal to them not Pakistan

leader will be changed for reasons , one of them PMs being bribed by foreign power

Therein lies the dilemma, as wretched as Iranians and their allies in the region are, they have nothing on the traitors we have sitting in GHQ Pindi...truly a dastardly bunch...

. .
but honestly one thing about this news i don't get , we only have 1.1 billion ton of proven coal reserve and produce less than 1.4 million ton / year . we actually import around 100,000 ton to meet our consumption needs .
from where we found extra coal to export

Its not the dilemma, its a reality that the ones that take oath to protect does the actual f up. Don't blame any country but your own so called protectors.

Pakistan’s coal is not up to the quality that is required.

Ofcourse there are use cases of this type of coal, but the PDM are more interested in IPP projects based on imported raw material and guaranteed payments.

You see, there is double commission to be made. One in the IPP contracts and second in import of raw materials.

Or maybe someone getting kickbacks and bakshish, wouldn’t put it past the crooks in power…
well iranian coals come from deep inside the mountain , if i'm not wrong , your coal is a lot closer to the ground surface . so its natural that our coal have less impurity and be more compact . on other hand extracting your coal will be a lot cheaper and easier than extracting iranian coal

For a country like Iran that is short of jungles and has vast deserts within the borders, this could be one the most stupid trades that we have done before.

But if we add the angle of aid to flood hit Pakistan then it makes sense. Coal is not something that you can find every where in Iran. Unlike oil and natural gas.

to be honnest we didnot actually actively looked for it , between 2016 to 2020 a guy looked for it around our previous coal mines and as a result our reserves increased 50% . so i wonder if we systematically look at central iran desert for it what we may find . after all those areas once were covered in lakes and jungles . but honnestly i'm still baffled our coal is not cheap it is extracted several hundred meter even more under the ground and we actually import to meet our need . from where we found extra to export coal to a ountry that can extract its own coal had 200 time more prover coal reserve and the process to extract coal is a lot cheapper there

To those asking why Pakistan imports coal despite having big coal reserves.

Pakistani Coal in Thar is absolutely rubbish and of poor quality. So it's not worth it.
Issue isn’t quality of coal, real issue is the quality of manpower, engineers and scientists this country produces. If similar quality coal was available in US/Canada they would have build a coal thermal system specific to type of coal found in their country.

Pakistanio ko Adat hy gora inky engineering problem solve ker ky dy ga.

Or maybe someone getting kickbacks and bakshish, wouldn’t put it past the crooks in power…
Or maybe Iranian funded PPP-MQM Shia politicians in Sindh just returning favor similar to Zardari famous Iran-Pakistan pipeline.
