See, I am very critical of Iran.. but I can't understand how Iran could force them? Did Iranis picked the zaireen from their accommodations and left them at the border?
See, if what you are saying is true, then definitely it's Iran's fault. But if they pushed the one's who had already reached the border, then I don't blame them. They are not responsible to provide quarantine facilities on their side of the border.
The core issue is of those special guests of Zulfi Bukhari, whom he helped crossed border without identification and later they disappeared into thin air.
In order to cover up momentary chaos was created at Taftan.
I don't see why you don't want to understanding this core issue here.
Secondary issue is that of process of visa and travel.
Those who go to Iran, should have travel and health insurance, and may be a life policy as well. This is how Pakistanis travel around the globe except Iran.
I remember many Shia leaders making statements against any border control arrangements, which Pakistan security agencies have ever tried to introduced... one can find many such complaints from recent past.
humanitarian issue.... there's no denial that there are no 5 star residential arrangements, besides one Pakistan house with basic amenities, this shows lack of planning, but besides failing to plan there's issue of cost.. who shall shoulder the cost of hosting them. Imran Khan and Zulfi says it's army and province, but i disagree.
Next we have issue of negligence, when Iran had pushed visitors to border, had they practiced protective measures against virus spread, or was Pakistan unaware that we have thousands of people in virus ridden country? This part as well is totally missing from the discussions.
Had Iran allowed /coordinated, Pakistan state could send buses /C130 to pickup the tourists from Mashad, this way the special guests from Qom and tourist from Mashad could be kept separate.
What comes in the end is the issue of costs, which could have been settled later.
For that as well, we have guide lines from other immigration points in country, like airports. There's $400 airport tax to be paid, if one fly in from Istanbul to Lahore. Similar sort of tax would solve infrastructure problem at Taftan, after all it's a major immigration point.
If tax is not halal on travelers going to Iran, add surcharge in gas /electricity bills.
In case of current emergency Zulfi Bukhar could have donated a a dozen of new mattresses to Pakistan house. After all he is taking fat salary from Pakistan.
