EU is not a sovereign entity, we all saw how america made them budge when they thought that the new Euro currency of EU could be a Dollar competitor in international market.....EU also trades internationally in Dollars and this dollar is now being weaponized by americans (petro dollar)

Go through this thread fully to know that. Euronean union is a mere alliance of small countries....they r nothing without america specially these days when they fear russia more after crimea crisis.......that why they cant play hard ball with america beyond certain point.....And especially their individual companies investing in iran like that french total.

as i said, intellect and analytical powers should be given a 21 gun salute...........u have a long long way to go.....Pakistan's economy actually isnt in trouble thats just some politicians saying it since its the election year. Pakistan's economy has grown at 5.8% from last quarter of 2017 to this 1st quarter of 2018 thats the official report that our Finance minister gave to the senate while presenting the new budget 2018. Its just that its not yet enough to make full budget because of debt crisis and they have to take more loans for new budget. But as time progresses that debt to income ratio is already dropping and post 2030 thanks to CPEC when she will be fully implemented a permanent 2% will be added into our annual growth rate ie if this current 5.8% becomes zero, we still will be developing at 2% only because of CPEC.....in post we r looking at maintaining growth rates in excess to 8% through out decades to come.....We already have a record of consistent 6% growth rate for 3 decades ie from 60s to 80s. We r just re-establishing that, after this handover of war on terror competes and that 120 billion loss that we suffered in this war for last 18 years is recovered. We r in the process of recovering our economy from the osses of WOT since 2012....Even do u know that in the year just before that in 2011, we had abt 500 suicide bombs alone in our country?? thousands of people had died in that year alone Abbottabad raid also happened in that year still we grew in that year by 2.3%......and now while that WOT is long over after op zarb e azb its now growing at 5.8% as of 2018 first quarter.

So thats how it is.....petro yuan is the future now and Pakistan has already done that.

BTW u say that we r economically troubled,,,, then how r we maintaining a city which has world class infrastructures and is selected as the second most beautiful capital of the world?

Chahbahar will now also be merged into OBOR india will likely pull out by then and from NSTC, and as indian already has shown interest in that with Pakistan that a small port like Chahbahar will only compliment a big port like Gwadar with 400 million metric tons capacity by 2045 against chahbahr's only 20 million metric tons total capacity of the future. When Gwadar will be fully build in this 400 million tons capacity, it would be second largest deep sea port only second to Shanghai's 500 millon metric tons port.

Why are Indians looking towards EU? There companies can ignore the US and continue their operations post-October.

The reason is all 3 Indian companies shortlisted for the bid have since ran away from financial bidding on the port.

EU nations have yet to come up with a mechanism to protect its companies from US sanctions. German or French companies, they will pull out subsequently like Total and Maersk. Anyone that is exposed to US markets will.

Indians are screwed as all this has pushed them to cooperate with China and Russia on major projects. India needs Russia for North-South corridor [INTSC] or now North-South Highway and need China as well. All the jokers in indian media harping on Gwadar as a military installation for China have suddenly shut up and not squeaking a word about it.

India's 2 plus 2 meet with US officials begging for exemption has been postponed till July 6. Chabahar is pretty much behind schedule. And it was'nt due to Trump or US but thanks to Indian corrupt slow moving bureaucracy.
