One thing I have learnt.
Most high tech armies can inflict huge dame and loss but they cannot retain ground or win hearts and minds. So ultimately they lose the war having decimated the battle ground.

It's more that modern armies tend to belong to modern nations which care about civilian life. This is what's stopping the west from winning wars. They care too much and look for pinpoint strikes whilst calling off strikes that may harm the donkey in the courtyard.

Russia doesn't care as much and carpet bombs, hence why they can still win wars.

So yes, it's a bit easier for the likes of Iran who will just target civilians like their Hezbollah dogs do.

I discovered this nearly ten years ago, and it is more relevant today.

Moreover, this British - iranian lady should have known better that as an iranian with British, American or western country citizenship you are more at risk when you visit the country and as such she should have been more careful or even stay away from the country altogether than taking such a risk. Anyway, I'm sure she has learned her lesson and won't do such a mistake again (that's if she is ever released. Lol). So our government can just try and lobby for her release and nothing more. It should be a lesson for other British Iranians (with double nationality). Apart from that it doesn't affect Britain at all to be honest
