I keep hearing this but nobody mentions how Iran got sanctioned. Iran basically declared war on America with the famous Iran hostage crisis that you may remember.

Iran send monkey to space and returns from Orbit, They have effective space program
and they have Hürjet class aircraft with domestic engine..

Space program thing is impressive, we could cooperate with Iran on this subject if it wasn't so politically unfeasable.

Hürjet class thing is a bit of a stretch. T-38 class more like. we're replacing T-38 with Hürjet. hopefully some of them will end up in museums. Static display models etc.

Anyway they are a bit behind in aircraft technology to put it mildly.
