After an extended gun battle on 18 July, Lahore police arrested two suspects whom they claim were involved in planning a major terrorist attack.

The incident took place on the Raiwind Road, just 3 kilometres (km) from the private estate of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. At least two police officers were killed and six others injured during the shootout. According to police sources, the suspects admitted to planning and reconnoitring the area for a potential attack on Sharif. They also admitted to having received training from Kashmiri militant group Lashkar-e-Tayyiba (LeT), which has traditionally not carried out attacks within Pakistan, focusing its efforts in India; LeT was most famously responsible for the 2008 Mumbai attacks.

Now the pet LET is also going against. A very interesting scenario. All groups trained for infiltration and terrorism are proving to be counter productive.

maulana masood azhar's jaish e Mohammad group already collaborated to form Punjabi Taliban and now even let is going against. sooner or later but they will bite for sure.

i am surprise ...... freedom fighter involve in terrorist attract..............
Lashkar-e-Tayyiba is giving them training

Man if these Punjabi kashmir centric groups turned against the state, expect a lot of casualties. The Punjabi Taliban are said to be even crueler than Pakhtun Taliban. Mirza Aslam Beg, Zia and Hameed Gul type people have gotten Pakistan into deep shit. LET banners are seen in every single village of Punjab.

So, the chickens have finally come home to roost! Supporting the 'good' terrorists was a bad bad idea.

The LeT which is the PA's 'strategic asset' is soon becoming a 'strategic liability'. And that's bad news for Pakistan.

These Chickens are different. They essentially flew their coop to come home to roost. However, it is only the beginning of the trend. After all, birds of a feather flock together and the the same is to be said of all terror groups. They all hark on a common ideology which is now OUT OF CONTROL of the establishment. The concept of the strategic asset as to be understood as well, you are not looking at closely supervised growth of such assets but rather various "warlords" being appointed within by the Intelligence agencies. These have their handlers within. The folly was assuming that these handlers would dictate how the operations of these various movements were run rather than realizing that they have a mind of their own.

Many Pro Pakistani Group has turned anti pakistan in past. Changing loyalty is not new for terror group.

They are all filth. I don't give a damn who they fight for. LET are disgusting takfiris who will, and by the looks of it, are beginning to turn on Pakistan.

I've said it for years that it is high time that Pakistan rids itself of such groups and brings peace. No state in their right mind would encourage such savages, within their own country as well!

I second your opinion, LET is pro Pakistan and would never go against the state of Pakistan.
