مہاراجہ ہری سنگھ کے شخصی راج، مہذبی تنگ نظری، توہینِ مہذب، قتل وغارت گیری اور ظلم و ستم کے خلاف اٹھنے والی تحریک میں اہم کردار ادا کیا اور مہاراجہ کو اس کی افواج سمیت کشمیر بدر کرنے والی اہم ترین ہستیوں میں سے ایک آپ کی ہستی ہے۔ آپ کی بہادری اور جوان مردی کو ایک مقامی شاعر نے اس طرح بیان کیا ہے؛

Shaheed Leiutanant Afsar Khan Son of Ali Gohar Khan resident of Mong Azad Kashmir was ex British Army Junior Comissioned Officer and veteran of Second World war . After retirement Afsar Khan shaheed return Mong As Retired Subeidar Major. Same year he met the Founder and commandent of 5th Azad Kashmir Regiment Colonol Sher Khan Shaheed. Col Sher khan Invited Afsar khan to join the ranks of newly raised Batallion as Company commander. Afsar khan volunterily accept Company command as Leiutanent and started preparation to rebel Against Dogra Forces.
After the creation of joint war council and murder of Magistrate Ram Lal by Sub Allah Ditta AKRF (Azad kashmir Regular Forces) initiated gourilla strikes aginst Dogra Infantry camps and retaliated them towards Rawalakot.
Leiutananet Afsar Khan was leading his company towards Mong to clear the area but on Offencive strikes he got several bullets on his chest and fell down. Before Martyrdom lt Afsar Khan raised the Moral of his company and Gave important Instructions which caused
the victory of Mong.
Lt Afsar khan was first martyr of this strike Known as battle of Mong

Ghazi subeidar Allah Ditta (late) was first mujahid ho gunned downed the magistrate Ram lal by 12 gauge rifle and initiated the war against Dogra Raja hari singh, he was belong from kanchri mong.

Ghazi Naib subeidar afsar khan was one of those rebel mujahids who took part in 1947-1949 war against Dogra Maharaja Hari Singh. He died at the age of 75 and buried in bogra valley. .
