Fits us perfectly lol Which one are you ?

How to Combat These Techniques

The important thing to remember is that you are dealing with a person who has essentially placed a twig on their head and expects you to believe they are a tree. Armored in that level of "confidence," almost anything you say will be construed by them as evidence that their tree disguise is working, so you will have to be very specific and to the point in addressing exactly what they're doing and why it's not fooling anyone.

Subtlety and sarcasm are great tools but there is no way in hell they will get through to this poor sap. Unless you're just toying with them for your amusement, the best way to put an end to it is just to be direct. Point them to this guide if necessary, explain that you know what they are doing, and that it is so obvious it can be seen from space.

Chances are they will just end up placing more twigs on their head, praying fervently that this will succeed, but at least you gave it your best shot.

The best was the first amendment one. The rest are practically an everyday thing on here.

The backtrack option fits Desiman.IIRC this was on some economic project of Pakistan i think oil refinery or something along those lines and he said hey wait you know how hard it is and other bs (like Pakistan wont earn much from it etc) and was refuted by several members there.Never posted in that thread again.

Lol actually that was not backtrack but when half of you guys got so defensive and got down again to personally targeting me, it was better that I leave the argument alone. I still stand by what I said but arguing with people are not receptive is a waste of my time. A more appropriate example would be trollers than come into a thread about Indian development, talk about poverty and toilets and then zoom away and never been to be seen again , ehhh cough cough lol

Ah I have seen many examples of these on the net. Some are present here as well (o.k. many of the examples are present here :P) except of course the first amendment one. So I request an American to please use #8 so we can claim to have used all the 11 techniques here :P

Btw I think one technique is missing from the list.
#12 - When someone refutes your point, then completely ignore the rebuttal and post another irrelevant tirade.

^ this one seems to be specialty of many a posters all over the internet and hordes over here too.
